Quote of the Week

A great many people think that they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices.

Forget Joan Rivers -- pray for Palestine

Somewhere in the bowels of New York’s famed Mt. Sinai Hospital lies one of the most toxic, foul-mouthed 81 year old women ever to walk the planet. Plastic-fantastic Joan Rivers is teetering on life support somewhere between deep coma and concupiscent consciousness.

Because most of the reporting is being done by the celebrity rags, information on Rivers' condition is neither consistent nor accurate. For instance, spewing idiocy typical of the British tabloids, the Telegraph reports that

"Rivers was rushed to hospital in New York after she stopped breathing while undergoing an endoscopy at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York."

WTF is that supposed to mean?? Mt. Sinai is a hospital in NY, you MSM monkeys. Contrary to the Telegraph's wacko version, a number of NYC sources say she was undergoing an outpatient procedure on her vocal cords at the private Yorkville Endoscopy Clinic when her face started to melt under the operating light.  She was rushed to Mt. Sinai, where she was put into an induced coma to keep her from pulling out her Uzi and attacking anyone on the staff who looks like they might be from Palestine.

Many people have expressed their sympathy and their hopes that she will recover fully, but, what, with this being the Hollywood crowd most of the tweets are likely just 140-character fawning bullshit from people who, like me, really couldn’t care one way or the other whether the despicable old hag makes it or not.

After her recent venomous diatribes wishing more death and destruction on Gaza, my best guess is that what we are seeing is karma in action, much like Sharon’s long comatose slide into the grave. It’s hard to be sympathetic when misfortune is visited upon people like these.

Kristofer Richardson gunning for cop-cowardice record, tazes 14 year old girl

Nobody wants to see cops get hurt, I think that's a given.  But cops sign on to a job to protect and serve and that can be dangerous -- taking risks is just part of the job.

The problem with today's crop of cops is that they're cowards and they are not about to put themselves in harm's way, even if it means attacking a child to keep themselves out of danger.  There is no better example of this cop-cowardice problem than this story from Monterey, CA. LAT  KION TV

When a 14-yo and a 16-yo girl got in a fight at the Monterey County Fair, cops Kristofer Richardson and Wayland Kopp weren't capable of manning up sufficiently to handle the situation.  Like how dangerous are two unarmed little girls?  So to protect himself from grave danger, Richardson pulled a tazer and blasted the 14 yo.

Brave man, there.

It would be interesting to know whether Monterey's cops, like so many in the US, are given free trips to Israel for training in apartheid crowd-control techniques.  If you've ever seen videos of Israeli cops blowing away unarmed kids, you'll understand why I ask.

But even though I know nothing about Richardson, I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that at least two out of three of the following statements apply to him:

1.  He's bald.
2.  He's got a beer belly.
3.  He doesn't have a clue what the term "excessive force" means.

And the reason I say it is that I'm thinking of a few other famous coward-cops in California that fit the bill.  Daniel L. Andrew, the CHP brute who beat the piss out of  great-grandmother Marlene Pinnock in LA last June, for instance.

And who could forget that donkey's turd and ex-Marine John Pike who gave a dozen unresisting, peaceful, seated protestors a face full of mace at UC Davis in 2012 and then collected $38,000 compensation because the whole thing was so stressful, poor baby.

Here's a DM-dummy fer ya'

Please to note the irony of obviously demented DM editors writing headlines about a woman "suffering from Alzheimer's disease on her phone."  Sad.
