Special Note:

LogoPhere is pretty much dead in the water for the moment as I drive back and forth across the States dealing with an on-going family crisis.  Please stay tuned for more regular posting of edgy, vituperative LogoPhere articles when things settle down.  In the mean time these posts will be intermittent.

"This is Not Dick Cheney We’re Talking About"

Here is the lead from Paul Street’s recent piece in ZNet:

Questioned by a handful of Senate Democrats on his secret killer drone program earlier this month, Barack Obama said "This is not Dick Cheney we’re talking about here."

"No Mr. President," one of those Senators should have retorted (none did), "it is not. It is worse, actually, in three ways.

The Times of Israel: Prototypic Israeli bullshit in action

Israeli warmongering agents who spread rumors of Iran having a nuke have been at it for at least a decade. They include John Bolton, David Albright, Yukiya Amano, George Jahn, and, of course, virtually every editor of every Israeli newspaper. An article in today’s Times of Israel is a good example of their modus operandi: stir the pot with speculation and rumors based on unnamed, covert sources "close" to someone who knows something. This is the exact same formula that got over 100,000 Iraqis and 5000 Americans killed in the Iraq War.

Vid turns cop into liar as dog bites man.

Officer Wiley's battery of Peter Bohmer caught on vid

A YT video shot on Mar5.2013 in Olympia Washington seems to provide incontrovertible evidence that a Washington State cop, Officer Wiley, is a liar. First name not known or I’d surely put it up for you.

Anna Hodgekiss of the Daily Mail plagiarizes Cedars-Sinai story.

One word tells us that Anna Hodgekiss is intellectually dishonest.

The Daily Mail has never been, and will never be, known for hiring intelligent writers or editors. It is, after all, a tabloid posing as a newspaper and its piss-poor quality is evident. But when the DM takes on a topic in science or medicine, the stupidity of both its writers and editors really shines through.

Helen Pow of the Daily Mail plagiarizes AP story.

The Daily Mail, true to its reputation as a third rate tabloid rag, stoops to ripping off valid news sources.  Here DM reporter Helen Pow rips off an AP article on a tragedy in California.  As of this writing, Pow's article, which is not Pow's article, does not have a single word of attribution to the AP article.  This is blatant dishonesty.

Angela Merkel and Christine Lagarde: Channeling Herbert Hoover in the 21st Century

Imagine putting your life savings in a bank to keep it safe and then having the likes of Angela Merkel and Christine Lagarde decide you will give up 30% of it to save the banks. This would be an unconstitutional taking under the 5th Amendment of U.S. Constitution, but it appears to be OK in the European Union, which Merkel currently controls.  If you live in a European Union country, it could happen to you, just as it is now happening to the people of Cyprus.

Daily Mail continues jerking the public around with the Chevaline Massacre story.

In an article dated today and not attributed to any reporter, the DM now tells us that the cops have "arrested" a "suspect" in the Chevaline Massacre story.  But, as always, you have to read the DM closely because it is generally 80% crap and 20% helpful.  In this particular article it's 95%/5% crap to helpful ratio.
