RT’s editors will have blood on their hands

Five days ago I observed how RT had completely ignored the threats from the group of violent Muslim Mental Midgets called  Vilayat Dagestan, who warned that they will deliver a “present” to Putin at Sochi.  I wondered whether RT — a government “news” source — was just slow out of the gate on this important story or trying to bury it.  Now we have the answer:  No, RT is not just incompetent, it is negligent.  And dangerous.

What obligation does a news agency have to report threats of violence to those who patronize its principal?  Would the Canadian news outlets have had an obligation to advertise to the world threats by Muslim Idiot Extremists against the Vancouver Winter Olympics?  I would say the answer is “Definitely, yes” if, as in this case, the same Muslim Mental Midgets had just killed dozens of people in bomb attacks.  That makes it a “credible threat” as the US intel people like to say when looking for a reason to rip into someone’s communications.  The public has a right to know of such dangers to their lives, and the relevant government has a duty to be sure the public has all of the credible information required to make a decision whether or not to attend.

Not only has RT refused to comment on last week’s threats from Vilayat Dagestan, the threats since then have been a constant drone and not a word from RT.  NBC reports the latest threat coming in the form of another video posted Friday.  As of today, RT is completely mum.

RT is one of the more reliable news sources out there when it comes to bringing to light serious problems in the West that don’t get aired elsewhere.  But now we see what it really is — a source of Russian news-as-propaganda.  This is worse than the Jewish news cabal.  Whoever is running RT at the moment is focused mainly on Kiev and bringing down the Ukrainian government.  They need to focus on Russia and threats to thousands and thousands of people who will be participating in and watching the Olympics — not just to alert those people to real threats, but to stake out its position as a legitimate, independent news agency and not merely another outlet controlled by government and power.

RT, and by extension Putin, is not just being incompetent, it is being dangerously negligent.  If anything happens in Sochi, these editors will have blood on their hands.

#560 — Apr14.2013 — Caddy Joe LaCava and Tiger’s 15th hole debacle

 Joe LaCava

While the whole world peers at Tiger Woods and questions his honesty, intelligence, and, intelligence – in that order – for the way he conducted himself on yesterday’s 15th hole of the 2nd round of the 2013 Masters, the real divot-dolt in this mess has not yet been identified, so let’s do that now: meet Tiger’s caddy, Joe LaCava.

The Gutter Grunt’s Olympic Standings for Sunday, Aug12.2012

Finally!  It’s freakin’ over.  And “freakin’ ” is a pretty apt word, given the freak-show at the end. It has been sooo funny to see the UK Guardian’s repeatedly showing GB in third place when on the weighted numbers they did not even beat NoKo, SoKo, or Azerbaijan.  Even with non-weighted numbers and playing with loaded dice on a home court GB did no better than fourth.  So enough of the Guardian crap.  Next they’ll be trying to convince us Elton John is straight.  Given the weighted totals below, which is the only fair way to rank the countries, it couldn’t be any more clear that Grenada is at the top of the world rankings over all — by a factor of almost 40 over 2nd place Bahamas and by a factor of 2 million over last place China!  I can’t even remember what Granada won their only gold in; neither can they, until the hang-overs wear off.  At any rate, farewell until Rio, thanks for stopping by the Gutter Grunt’s Olympic Standings these last few days.  Come back anytime for the Daily Dish.

To see how and why the numbers were weighted, see the Aug03 rankings.

Bummer, China.  Last place.  At this late stage of the games it is unlikely China will be able to pull itself out of last place or anybody will be able to knock Granada out of first.  Statistics can do wonderful things for the self-image of small places.

For explanation of how the numbers are crunched, see the Aug03 post.

Not even the mighty Bolt can bring Jamaica up to Granada’s level.  Given that Jamaica has 30x the population and almost 20x the GDP of Granada, it looks like that on a weighted basis, Granada will not be caught.  Ronald Reagan, if you are watching, stick that in your pipe and toot on it.

For an explanation of the weighting system used here, see the Aug03 post.

With only 1 gold, tiny Grenada still the country to beat.

The Gutter Grunt’s Olympic Standings for Tuesday, Aug07.2012

Canadians prove to be whining assholes, again.  When they lost the Stanley Cup, they burned down Vancouver.  They won huge amounts of gold at their own Winter Olympics, in part by loading the dice in their favor, particularly with the bob-sled course.  Now their women’s soccer goalie gets called for tying up the ball while her team is ahead in the closing minutes of the game, and the Canadians go foaming-at-the-mouth, bat-shit crazy.  Erin McLeod, who probably didn’t even deserve to be in the match judging by all the balls that got past her, was called out on this three times in one game, finally drawing the penalty on the last call.  Even her coach, once he cooled down, admitted she was cheating.

“Watching it again, I realized the goalkeeper held the ball for 16 seconds, in the second half she held it for 17 seconds and then she got penalized for holding for 13 seconds. So, that’s a long time on the ball and understandable why the ref called it.”

Suck on it, Canada.  You’re a bunch of losers.  Not just by failing to win, but, more importantly, by the way you whine when you don’t win.

Here’s today’s rankings.  For explanation of how and why these numbers are crunched, see Aug03 table.
