I told you. I wake up every day, right here, right in Punxsutawney,
and it's always February 2nd, and there's nothing I can do about it.

~
I've never seen a President -- I don't care who he is -- stand up to [the Israelis]. It just boggles the mind. They always get what they want. The Israelis know what is going on all the time. I got to the point where I wasn't writing anything down. If the American people understood what a grip those people have got on our government, they would rise up in arms. Our citizens certainly don't have any idea what goes on.
-- Admiral Thomas Moorer, ex-Chariman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff

Shit-fer-brains Bibi punches the "Palestinians were Nazis"
button again, gets international blow-back this time

Oct24.15

It is only recently that Americans -- without whose support Israeli apartheid cannot survive -- are beginning to see Palestinians as victims of the i-Jews' land-grabbing, apartheid policies, and terrorism.  The i-Jews have long pushed the button Bibi was trying to push this week -- associating the Palestinians with the Nazis.  But within the context of this softer view of the Palestinians and the harder view of i-Jews, Bibi's playing the Nazi card was the wrong move and any points Bibi could have hoped to have scored were swamped by the international blow-back.

Cat fight's a-comin': Loretta Lynch is sorting
 out Hillary's eMail problem

Part II of a two part series
Oct19.15

The demotic term "cat-fight" sounds so sexist these days, but it is not used here in a demeaning way, quite the contrary, for I think it is important to emphasize that these are two very powerful women, and it is good that today it is not all that uncommon for women to wield such power.  I mean, I cannot think of too many instances in the history of our species where two such powerful women have squared off against each other.  What comes first to mind is Queen Elizabeth's  "tiff" with Mary, Queen of Scots, which did not end well for Mary, who was beheaded in 1587 pursuant to the reluctant order of Elizabeth.  No eMails were involved in that case, of course, maybe because Mary had enough sense not to keep her server in her basement.  But, interestingly, missing letters and other "personal" correspondence played a major role in her fate.

I hope that decades and centuries from now the look-back lesson from the Lynch-Clinton cat-fight will be a restatement of the lesson from the Elizabeth-Mary cat-fight: No woman and no man, no matter how powerful, is beyond the reach of an honest, principled person who has the power and the obligation to uphold the law.

Here come Loretta!
Part I of a two part series

Oct18.15

Back in August I almost put up a piece predicting that by the end of the year Hillary Clinton would not be in the running for the Democratic nomination. But I put it off on the tried and true principle that discretion is the better part of valor, thinking that if I was wrong, it would irreparably damage my unrivaled reputation among the four regular readers of this blog, all of whom are incarcerated in mental institutions with WiFi access in the padded rooms.

Itís mid-October now and a lot of things have changed: pumpkins are carved and lit; a dismal wintry drizzle has migrated into this southern border-area of the boreal forest, and the red-tails and barn swallows have migrated out; my washing machine spin-cycle has gone on the blink. But not much has changed in the HRC story, which is very significant in itself. Oh, yeah, Hil is screaming bloody murder about boner-for-a-brain Kevin McCarthyís comment about the House Benghazi Committee being really just a $4.1M exercise in political marksmanship.  But with respect to Hil's protestations, let me tell you something: Loretta Lynch couldnít care less about what the Republicansí motives are or were. I think now the time is ripe for the prediction I put on hold last August.

Can something as evil as Israli apartheid
be advocated in a beatuiful way?

Oct17.15

Source: Plato's Guns

About 5 am this morning I was sniffing around over at Plato's Guns and bumped into a re-tweet of this article by Palestinian-American Susan AbulhawaSuddenly I found m'self thinking deep, philosophical thoughts, which I almost never do, particularly at that time of day when I'm mostly thinking about going back to bed.  What I was pondering was the aesthetics of evil.  Here's the result of that pondering: a (typically) over-cooked comment I left at Plato. (They tolerate me. Mostly.)  I certainly recommend the Abulhawa article, it's about the decline of the evil enterprise the world calls "Israel." But my concern here is the broader issue of whether it is possible to advocate evil and violence in a beautiful way.

Previously unseen deletion from
the Obama "60 Minutes" interview with Steve Kroft

Oct13.15

Rules?  Me?

NEWS FLASH !!!
From the LogoPhere News Room

Unknown to most of our 4 regular readers, like all top news agencies LogoPhere has an anonymous source working inside the White House, Lamont Rufus Washington.  Lamont was nominated by President Barak Obama in 2009 and confirmed by Congress in 2014 as White House janitor-in-chief.  It was the first and last thing Obama and Congress ever agreed on. Lamontís area of operation includes cleaning the presidential editing room where Obama personally edits the tapes of CBS "60 Minutes" interviews before they are aired.

Our anonymous source, Lamont, has just advised the LogoPhere staff Ė consisting entirely of me and my pot-bellied pig,  Officer Pickles, who answers the LogoPhere 911 hot line and justifies our use of the first person plural Ė that last night he recovered from the floor of the WH editing room a short section of tape that was deleted from Steve Kroftís interview with Barak Obama that aired on "60 Minutes" on Oct11.2015.

LogoPhere is now releasing a transcript of the part of the interview that the American people never saw.  [Cue: drum roll.]

The GoI boys and their magic knife-tricks
Oct08.15

Knives are high-profile in Palesrael these days.  i-Jews are getting stabbed in retaliation for stabbing and shooting Palestinians; Palestinians are getting stabbed for stabbing i-Jews. It's the Holy Land, in other words -- cycle of love among the children of Abraham.

Of course the i-Jews have the upper hand because while the Palestinians are armed with nothing more than their shivs and rocks, the Government of Israel (GoI) bullies are armed with the best gear purchased by the American taxpayer -- M-4's, M-16's, side arms, grenades, tanks, snipers, well ... you know.  And the mayor of Jerusalem -- who is a Jew, for some reason I don't understand --  is urging all the i-Jews to put their pieces in their pockets when they leave home.  Like I say, the Holy Land.

Why Huffington Post ain't worth
the paper it's written on: Reasons 1 - 3

Oct01.15

Huffington Post may lead the left wing blathering about Citizens United and they may cry "foul ball" on the mega-donations to Republicans from the Koch brothers or Sheldon Aldeson, but the sort of corporate contributions HP is making to Clinton's campaign go far, far beyond the millions of dollars contributed by the likes of the Kochs or Aldeson.  HP is donating a Clinton ad campaign worth millions and millions to capture the hearts, minds, and votes of the country's bimbo blondes, and I hope neither the irony nor the oxymoron of that assertion go unnoticed.
